Birding ID Course!!

Scratching your head wondering what that yellow bird is in your tree?  Curious why your favorite birds are only here part of the year?  Mesilla Valley Audubon Society (MVAS) is offering a four-week beginners course to improve your birding skills as MVAS instructors guide you through various birding ID techniques.  You will be introduced to various field guides; IDing birds by shape, size and silhouettes; identify waterfowl & raptors; native plants that best attract birds to your yard; and more.  The course includes four field trips to local hot spots.  Join us to explore the wonderful world of birds!  The classroom portion of the course runs on Mondays, 6:30 – 8:30p.m., September 25 – October 6, 2017.  On the following Saturday after each class, a field trip will be conducted to a local hot spot for birding.

Classes will be held at the Southwest Environmental Center, 275 N. Main Street, Las Cruces located in the downtown mall.
